FaithWork

A 10-day writing and copywork course focused on spiritual development.

Slow down, read foundational Christian texts, copy them by hand, and immerse yourself in the words and lessons.

What is FaithWork?

It's unlike anything else.

Slow Down

This is a pen to paper approach to studying. There is no speeding up the process. It's forced practice on purpose.

Read Texts

The texts you will copy have been curated from various places. You will always copy Scripture, quotes, and a prayer.

Copy Work

In your own journal you will copy by hand the highlighted passages. It's simple and immerses you in the words.

These “lessons” are not really lessons. They’re 25-minute guided writing sessions. At the end of each day, you’ll have a full page of scripture, quotes from spiritual saints, and intentional prayers.

Forced Practice

With curated texts to copy, you don’t just learn the right things. You're forced to slow down and put pen to paper.

Pattern Matching

As you copy, your brain starts to pattern match—how prayers are structured, the flow of scripture, and the essence of spiritual disciplines.

Imitate, Then Innovate

By first imitating another's words, you begin to see things you've never seen before.

FaithWork has changed how I read and study God's Word.

Give it a week and your journal will look like mine and you will discover a new appreciation for God's words.

Last Word

In faith development, the imitation phase often gets skipped. Many programs and churches jump from “here’s what to believe” to “now go live it out,” missing a crucial step that countless saints and spiritual leaders practiced daily: imitation.

When Jesus called his first disciples, he called them to follow, watch, imitate, and practice. Through their practice, they developed their version of faith sharing that proved to be effective in its own way.

Today, we do the same thing. We imitate the source—God's Word, ancient faith figures, and prayer—and then innovate our own version of faith sharing.
